Massive Update On Injured Maple Leafs Defenseman Conor Timmins

Despite their success early in the 2023-24 season, the Maple Leafs still aren't at full strength, and now, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has given an update on a talented young defenseman and his injury.

A talented young star

The Maple Leafs acquired defenseman Conor Timmins from the Arizona Coyotes a year ago, and in 25 games with the team, he impressed mightily, notching 2 goals and 14 points, a career-high.

The 25-year-old was then pegged to be a key piece of this team heading into the 2023-24 season, but before he could make it to the regular season, he was struck down with a tough injury.

A key return incoming?

That injury took place in a pre-season matchup against the Montreal Canadiens on September 29, and ever since, the young blue-liner has been working his way back, but Sheldon Keefe's latest update isn't a good one for Toronto fans.

The knee issue appears to be one that won't be healed any time soon, and given how important he is to the Leafs blue line, they will want him at 100% before a return, but right now, things aren't looking good for the immediate future of the former second-round draft pick.
