Major Update On Ryan O'Reilly

Ryan O'Reilly has been sidelined due to a finger injury since March 7th. There's been a new development in his case.

Sheldon Keefe Gave A Major Update On Ryan O'Reilly



Ryan O'Reilly (finger) is «unlikely» to return this week, Sheldon Keefe says. «I think the plan is more to ramp him up through this week and then look more towards next (week).»

O'Reilly didn't practise with team today, but was on the ice doing individual skill work.



O'Reilly was not present at the team's practice session today, but he was spotted on the ice working on individual skill drills. The delay in his return may be a precautionary measure to ensure a complete recovery before rejoining the team in a competitive setting.

The absence of O'Reilly has been felt by the Maple Leafs, who have been dealing with a string of injuries to key players. His eventual return will undoubtedly provide a much-needed boost to the team's roster and overall performance.
