Leafs Prospect Lets Loose And Has A Vulgar Outburst In Recent Interview
Robertson looking to prove that he still has potential
Robertson, a former 2nd-round pick by the Maple Leafs in 2019, wants to remain relevant despite a rough past couple of seasons on the sidelines due to injuries. The young 22-year-old forward had a very successful OHL career before succumbing to injuries ever since becoming a professional back in 2020.
He has demonstrated incredible point production at the AHL level but has been unable to find a permanent home in the NHL due to the games he has missed. Now fully healthy, Robertson is adamant that his name should not be forgotten when it comes to making the Leafs out of training camp.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are once again entering the season as strong Stanley Cup contenders and they have further strengthened their squad, especially at the forward position. Despite the pedigree and offensive ability that Robertson has, it will be challenging for him to lock up an impact role on the team due to the competition.
Knies has surpassed Robertson on the depth charts
With the type of playstyle that Robertson has, he will be best served in a top-six role. However, the emergence of Matthew Knies has added a layer of complexity to the Maple Leafs' expected lines this season. In the eyes of many fans and even management, Knies has developed into the more intriguing prospect and is expected to feature ahead of Robertson on the depth chart moving forward.
At the end of the day, Robertson is looking to make an impact and is showing his competitiveness through his words in the early days of training camp. It remains to be seen if Robertson will make the team and in what type of role, but we should not count him out.
