Woll Sets Maple Leafs Franchise Record
In addition to keeping the Leafs alive for at least another game, Woll earned his 10th win with Toronto. He's the first goalie to have 10 wins in his first 12 games (regular season and playoffs).
As reported by Sportsnet :
"Joseph Woll. First goaltender in #LeafsForever history with 10 wins in his first 12 starts with the franchise (regular season & playoffs)."
The good news about him is that he's signed for two more years at $766K per season, making him part of next season's tandem. This would give Dubas (or someone else) the opportunity to trade either Murray or Samsonov to free up cap space.
