If you tuned into last night's game between Begas and Dallas, you likely witnesses Jamie Benn's incredibly dangerous cross-check on Mark Stone. The incident got Benn ejected from the game, and he could be facing a suspension now. He doesn't seem to think the play was malicious and defended the actions to the press.

Benn Excuses Actions Against Stone



Jamie Benn met with the media today after the fallout of his ejection last night. The game was filled with controversy, but none were as shocking as Benn putting his stick into the face of Mark Stone. Benn didn't seem to think his actions were as bad as they were being made out to be and made excuses for himself.




According to Benn, he fell on Stone and used his stick as a landing point, which he said he wished he hadn't done. It doesn't take much thinking if you watch the replay to see what actually happened.


Yeah, that seems pretty intentional to us.
