Trading a member of the Core Four?

Speculations around a trade involving a member of the Core Four are all over the social medias.
As the Leafs failed to win in the playoffs and Brad Treliving has been in office for a few weeks, real changes are expected in the coming weeks.

Marner Expected to Stay in Toronto

Kevin Kurz shared some interesting insights on the situation on a paper published in The Athletic
"You can never predict if another team will pick up the phone and make the kind of offer a GM never saw coming, but let's put it this way: Treliving isn't bringing Marner's name up with teams."

It's good to know that Treliving will consider offers if they're good enough, but it's also reassuring to know that Marner probably won't be traded.
It would be very surprising to see Marner getting traded. His huge contract makes it harder to move him, but also his talent. There simply isn't a lot of players as talented as he is.
We still don't know if Treliving will trade another member of the Core Four, but we'll let you know as soon as there's a new development on the situation.
