Rasmus Sandin was traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the last deadline and is now a member of the Washington Capitals.

Sandin was drafted by the Leafs in 2018 and played four seasons in Toronto. During that time, he created many friendships, including with William Nylander.

The defenseman made a huge revelation about his friend.

Sandin Talks About Nylander

In an interview with Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek on the podcast 32 Thoughts, Sandin revealed what it's like to be in Nylander's circle.

"He really cares and if you're in his inner circle, being close to him, he's all about his family, all about his friends," Sandin said. "If I called him and asked him to stop what he's doing and do something for me, he would do it. If you're in his inner circle and you know him, he's the best guy ever."

The Trade

When he was traded, Sandin's life changed.

"That was obviously a curveball when I got traded," Sandin recalled. "Coming into it, I knew two guys really well. One of them was Erik Gustafsson, who got traded for me, and the second guy was Marcus Johansson, who got traded like five minutes before I did. I was like, 'Who am I going to know on the team?'"

As he was leaving Toronto, Sandin was with Nylander and he accompanied him to the end.

"When we walked off, I think that was really cool and he was kind of saying 'don't cry yet, cameras are around,'" Sandin said of that particular moment. "He was telling me stuff like that and that it was good and just wished me the best. We still talk every single day."

It's such a great gesture by Nylander!

It's great to know that the former teammates are still in a good relationship!
