The Maple Leafs made a surprising move this summer, signing Cole Caufield's older brother, Brock.

We finally had our first look at Brock in a Leafs' uniform earlier today at training camp.

Brock, 24, undrafted, played with the University of Wisconsin for the last five seasons. In 172 games, he scored 74 points, including 33 goals.


He signed a one-way deal with the Marlies and will try to showcase his talents this season to secure a bigger contract next season.

Caufield has potential. He might not have the same talent as Cole, but he can still play an important role in a team's bottom-six.

Stories like these, about undrafted players coming into the NHL, sometimes turn out great, and we hope that this one is the case.
