Patrick Kane is about to hit the market—and we may already have an idea what his next deal will look like.

The longtime Chicago Blackhawks stalwart may not be the dynamite player his previous $10.5 million AAV (average annual value) contract warranted, but according to DailyFaceoff, he'll still cost a decent amount of money for whichever team ponies up for his services in July when he officially becomes an unrestricted free agent.




According to insider Frank Seravalli, citing data from AFP Analytics, Kane is expected to command a $5.75 million AAV contract over three years. This is only $500K more than the AAV fellow UFA Tyler Bertuzzi is expected to fetch using those same metrics.

Kane — a former two-time 100+ point scorer — put up 57 points in 73 regular season games last season between the Blackhawks and his eventual trade to the New York Rangers, while also going nearly a point per game in the Rangers' seven-game first round series against the New Jersey Devils.
