CANADIENS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO DRAFT ANOTHER ARTURRI LEHKONEN IN 2023
BY AARON
While Justin Barron is a great prospect, and the 2024 2nd-round pick could very well become something special, Lehkonen has been truly outstanding in Colorado.
However, the Canadiens could redeem themselves, by drafting a player who is incredibly similar to Lehkonen in 2023.
Sebastian High, the Director of North American Scouting at DobberProspects first Tweeted about the comparison with the intriguing Oscar Fisker-Mølgaard:
I'm seeing a lot of Habs fans lamenting the Lehkonen trade, and all I'm thinking is that there's a 2023 draft eligible who consistently reminds me of Lehkonen and who could very well be available in the mid-second round.
Oscar Fisker-Mølgaard.
Oscar Fisker-Mølgaard.
Then, on the Puck and Roll podcast, McKeen's scout Sam McGilligan, and DobberProspects Canadiens scout Aaron Itovitch discussed the matter. The consensus was clear, Fisker-Mølgaard could be the next Arturri Lehkonen.
OFM is a line elevator. He may not be the best player on a line, but he makes everybody else look better.
Sound eerily similar, right?
With Mølgaard likely to slip out of the first-round, should the Canadiens target this Lehky replacement?
