The Boston Bruins have been by far the best team in the league this season with a 57-12-5 record. In the last few days, concerns were raised about Taylor Hall, who has been dealing with a lower-body injury since February.

In a recent episode of Insider Trading, TSN's Darren Dreger mentioned that forward Taylor Hall was prepared to return from his injury, but the salary cap was preventing him from being activated.






Hall is reportedly ready to return to the ice. However, the Bruins have very limited cap space following the arrival of Hathaway, Orlov, and Bertuzzi. As a result, the team cannot activate Hall's contract for the time being.

To make room for Bertuzzi, the Bruins placed Hall on long-term injured reserve (LTIR). Now, with Hall ready to return, Boston finds itself without the necessary cap space to activate him.

It appears the Bruins may be waiting for the playoffs to activate Hall, leading to accusations of salary cap circumvention. This tactic has raised eyebrows across the league and may prompt further examination of the team's actions.

In the 58 games he played this season, the 31-year-old Hall has scored 16 goals and contributed 20 assists, accumulating a total of 36 points.
