BREAKING: Washington Capitals Part Ways With Head Coach
Laviolette and Capitals Mutually Agree to Part Ways

Today has been filled with numerous management changes throughout the NHL, as the regular season comes to a close and non-playoff teams look ahead to next season. The Washington Capitals have joined this seemingly never ending expanding list of teams this afternoon, as they've announced they've parted ways with head coach Peter Laviolette.
Laviolette had one year remaining on his contract, but will not be returning to fulfill his coaching duties.
Some fans are more happy than others, but the consensus was that a change was needed.
