Today was a big day for waivers in the NHL with 30 players being added to the waiver wire. Among the 30 were 3 former Maple Leafs Ryan McGregor, Adam Brooks, and Victor Mete.

Ryan McGregor was a 6th-round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2017. After not being signed he went to Arizona and has played with the Tuscon Roadrunners since then.

Adam Brooks was a 2016 4th-round pick by the Maple Leafs. He spent 4 years in the Maple Leafs minor league system. He also got an opportunity to play 18 games with the Maple Leafs in the NHL. Since leaving Toronto Brooks has bounced around a bit he is currently in the Philadelphia Flyers organization.

Victor Mete was a 4th round pick by the Montreal Canadiens. He came to Toronto in 2022. He played 11 games with the Maple Leafs and another 6 with the Marlies. He then signed with the Philadelphia Flyers this offseason where he is now on waivers.

All of these players will be in new places come the regular season. Some will get claimed and be in a new organization. Others will end up in the AHL and work to fight for a spot back on the main roster.
