Auston Matthews Reveals Special St-Patrick's Day Skates

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes will face off Friday night for a St. Patrick's Day game. Tonight, the team will wear green and white uniforms to pay tribute to their predecessors, the Toronto St. Pats, while Auston Matthews adds his own unique touch to the event.

Matthews Unveils New Skates For St-Patrick's Day





As observed, the skates mainly showcase St. Pats green, while also featuring remarkable custom details upon closer inspection. The Toronto skyline is visible, along with a green Maple Leafs logo outline. The skates list the player's hometown, Scottsdale, AZ, and the teams he's played for, such as the Zurich Lions, Team North America, and the All-Star Game.


One thing's for sure, if the Leafs perform well, the Scotiabank Arena will host the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in town.
