Arizona Coyotes Sign Hometown Hero's Son

Doan will report to the Tucson Roadrunners and will play his first game on Friday against the Calgary Wranglers.
Armstrong stated that
"Josh has played very well for ASU the past two seasons and has earned this deal. We look forward to continuing to watch his development the remainder of this season in Tucson."
Doan is 21 years old, he recorded 16-22-38 and 18 penalty minutes with Arizona State this season. He also registered 12-25-37 and 54 penalty minutes with the Sun Devils in the 2021-22 season, setting a school record for most points and assists by a freshman. Doan was named the captain of Arizona State.
Before playing for Arizona State, he spent two years playing for the Chicago Steel and recorded 36-48-84 and 53 penalty minutes in 53 games, he helped the team win the Clark Cup.
Doan is continuing his father's legacy
Josh Doan is the son of Shane Doan, who played in the NHL from 1995 to 2017, Shane Doan is regarded as one of Arizona's best players, leading the team in scoring every season between 2003 and 2011.
We are excited to see what Josh will be able to provide for the Coyotes.
