And if we compare Subban and Weber since the famous trade

BY MARCO    SEPTEMBER 20, 2022  (2:15 PM)
Montreal Canadiens general manager at the time, Marc Bergevin, shook up the hockey world in 2016 by trading P.K. Subban to the Nashville Predators in return for Shea Weber.

Now that both will no longer be playing field hockey (retirement for Subban, long-term injury list for Weber), we can better compare the impact of that trade.

From the time he moved to the Nashville Predators in June 2016 until now, P.K. Subban has 191 points in 365 games (0.52 points per game), with a cumulative -22.

As for Weber, we're talking 154 points in 291 games (0.53 points per game), with a cumulative +35.

Even if some fans don't want to admit it, Weber was by far a better player than Subban, according to these statistics.
